WELCOME TO MY HOUSE

CG’s Bichons relocated to Reno, NV in the mid 90’s.

As a private breeder my Bichon Frise puppies are actually raised "inside" my home, not in a kennel nor a kennel atmosphere, with lots of human contact and other loving pets. My babies are well-adjusted, well-socialized with outstanding loving temperament. They are well rounded, outgoing, and have MANNERS.

My goal is to raise happy, healthy Bichon Frise Companions (for those who choose not to pay show quality prices or purchase at pet shops, (pups sold in pet shops are from puppy mills. (Click on "ABOUT PUPPY MILLS" for addition information. ) Think about it "why would a reputable/responsible  breeder have to sell their pups to a pet shop" ?

I do not sell to pet shops, brokers or "backyard" breeders.  I am a licensed kennel with the State of Nevada, County of Washoe.

I do absolutely no in-breeding, or cross-breeding. I only breed BICHONS. I am a breeder and owner who cares about the quality of of the breed. All my puppy’s parents are AKC Registered with outstanding Pedigree's/Bloodlines.  Which contributes to the health of the puppies.  Also the importance of a good pedigree/bloodline is owners will not spend thousand of dollars bringing their bichon to champion, unless it is a quality dog to begin with.

My stud is DNA tested to further the superiority of the breed and assure no faults. My dogs are Veterinarian checked each year.

I have 7 Bichons:

Basil is a "handsome" young stud and does he enjoy his job.

I have 4 Ladies I use for breeding. Ceelo, Chyne Doll. Carma, Cynder.

Cricket and Cha Cha  have been retired and are enjoying their "doggy days"

My ladies are bred every other season, giving them a break from motherhood and a time to enjoy their "doggy life"

I do not show my dogs. It's too time consuming, expensive, and "very" political.  It also increases the cost for the campanion puppies.

All my Bichons have excellent temperament, great personalities and are in excellent health.

My pups are well socialized, they are current with their vaccinations, worming, dewclaws removal of the 5th toe, crate, paper and doggy door training is on going........... They are Home Again Microchipped.

I recommended a nutritional program, including dog food and vitamin supplements for owners to follow. When followed I feel confident in offering an extended guarantee" on all my pups.

The Bichon is a very dependent breed. They are always in your face, on your lap, and under your feet. They have big personalities and are great fun to own. They require a great deal of affection and can make owners feel guilty when they are not able to give them the affection.

If you work and there is no one home to care for the puppy, you might consider doggy day care or a second dog or a cat as companions for each other. Or a different breed. The Bichon will not do well stuck at home alone for 8-10 hours a day. Therefore, I do not place my puppies in homes where I know they will be left alone for long periods of time.  PLEASE consider the well being of the pup before you purchase.  Seperation anxiety is not something you want to put your puppy through.

Because of my location and easy access to the Airport, most of my paw-parents are able to visit my home and/or pick up their "new" puppy.  I prefer not to ship my pups.  Exceptions can be made under the right circumstances.

I have placed pups in forever homes located in several Nevada Cities, California, Arizona, New Mexico, Oregon, Iowa, Idaho, Florida, Alaska, Norway. and recently the UK.  If you would like references I can supply you with names of several owners of my pups.

I am available 24/7 if support is needed concerning your bichon or the bichon breed. Whether you have adopted a bichon from CG's Bichon or from a different kennel, feel free to contact me I will do my best to answer any questions and concerns you might have.
